- The Start: A lap of the playing field before heading out onto the short format tarmac
- The Route: A footpath leading out onto open fields and to a small brook, then climbs to Daisybank Road and WATER STOP ONE
- The route then steadily climbs up Sandy Lane to join the Cotswold Way and WATER STOP TWO
- The climb proper begins here as the Cotswold Way climbs to the summit of the hill
- There follows the run along the top (nice and flat, overlooking the whole of Cheltenham) before the drop down through the wood with the Devil's Chimney above on the right hand side, to Daisybank Road and WATER STOP THREE
- Then taking a short cut back for the final lap of the field to the finish and a chance to replace those burnt calories!!
